2009-02-07 “The Concert Through Time and Space II” airs on Pirate Radio. It is the 40th Episode of “The Venom Nation Radio Show” on Pirate Radio.
2009-02-14 Voice talent, Kevin Anthony, who debuts on this show. This episode features an interview with Neal Grusky, founder and Guitarist for the band Takara, who’s new album “Invitation to Forever”, as well as the back catalogue of the band, is featured during the three hour show. The show was intended to showcase an interview with Yngwie Malmsteen, but due to miscommunication between Malmsteen, his PR Agent, and Pirate radio, the interview does not take place.
2009-02-28 “Chick Rock” Airs. It’s the first show featuring an ALL Female Musical Lineup.
2009-03-14 Steve celebrates Pirate Radio’s 20th Anniversary on The Venom Nation Radio Show. In a record breaking three hour show, listeners are treated to a recreation of the entire first hour Pirate Radio was on the air….from March 17th 1989, 30 minutes each with Jocks Shadoe Steele, Scott Shannon and Tawn Mastrey, and in the final 30 minutes Steve aired an interview conducted with Shadoe Steele. It is the first time Steele has been on a public airwave since he left pirate in 1991. The show breaks new records on Pirate radio for chat room attendance, maintains STRONG listenership throughout, and the members of the Pirate “”Staff”” (including Rock and John Silvers) are given many accolades.
2009-03-28 After many many attempts, and much begging, Steve is granted an interview with Jeff Scott Soto. The performer has led such bands as Talisman, Axel Rudi Pell, Human Clay, Yngwie Malmsteen, and Journey, in addition to his awesome solo career.
2009-04-18 The VNRS Celebrates ONE YEAR On Pirate Radio!
2009-07-04 THe Venom Nation Radio Show’s “All American Bash II” airs on Pirate Radio. The show kicks off with a dedication to Alan Schaefer, HBJ Co Host “The Acid Chimp” Who passed away twelve days earlier., and a special introduction featuring John F. Kennedy’s inaugural address and “Ragged old Flag” from Johnny Cash. The show features an “A-to-Z countdown” of All american bands in the hair metal and glam genres.

2009-09-05 Show returns from a 5 week hiatus with a new format and a new layout. The show features the first induction into the Venom Nation “Hall of Fame” – Pink Floyd. Throughout the show Pink Floyd is featured, and througout the remaining month of September, their music is featured in the shows.
2009-09-19 “Visions of The Vicar’s Past” debuts on the show. This feature will highlight an album from the Vicar’s past that had tremendous influence on his life and music. The debut album on the feature is Ozzy Osbourne’s “Ozzmosis” album.
2009-10-10 Journey is inducted into the Venom Nation Hall of Fame
2009-10-31 Halloween Spooktacular VI airs on Pirate Radio
2009-11-07 Jeff Scott Soto is inducted into the Venom Nation Hall of Fame
2009-11-28 For the first time in the show’s history, the playlist includes every song from a single album. The album, W.E.T. , from the band of the same name, is a new release from Jeff Scott Soto, and is well received by the pirate crowd.
